Leilani is indeed in a precarious situation. On the one hand, she has to hurry to get to the surface and get some air – but on the other hand she needs to go slowly, exhale air a little at a time, or risk a severe injury like an embolism or “the bends”. These are some very basic rules of free-diving everyone should learn, whether hundreds of feet below the ocean, or in an Olympic-sized pool at your favorite gym. Again kudos to Ralph, who nails everything in one image.

But Leilani is about to learn that she is not alone in these depths… ♥
